What is karate?
The karate is a japanese form of martial art focusing on bare hand (and feet) techniques. Those defense and offense techniques are used in combats, katas and many different exercises who will develop in the karateka great strength and endurance.
The japanese word karate means "empty hand" or also "Chinese hand".
What is kyokushin?
Kyokushin Kai is the name given to the karate style created by the late Masutatsu Oyama, also known as god's hand. Kyokushin means "ultimate truth" (more details).
Kyokushin karate is a full-contact karate style where every practionner fight bare hand and feet (except beginner, or semi-contact courses, where people wear light padding on feet). The kyokushin style is considered a rather violent, harsh karate style where the practionners develop great endurance and strengh.
